A demon-witch hybrid born of powerful demon father and witch mother, she learned majority of her witchcraft from her maternal grandmother who loved to spoil her. Due to her parents both being at their maximum power when she was conceived, she is not half-demon half-witch, but rather a full-blooded demon with full-blooded witch’s power, with no limits.
She began slaying demons when she was 4, when she was kidnapped by a gang whose leader was a greedy demon who held her for ransom. Her young spoiled nature pissed off her captors, and in turn, Tutku herself grew more and more angry as they refused to give her what she wanted, and with her demon blood influenced by the negative emotions, she conjured several spinning blades to kill them and their leader. After the fifth kidnapping incident, her father began training her in martial arts, wielding weapons and had her do parkour and gymnastics.
When she was 16, everyone in her family perished in an ambush, and in her anger at the attackers, she ended up unleashing a powerful spell that caused a purification wave to clean out the entire continent of the demons that lived there (except herself). She went into hiding for 3 years immediately following that, during which she practiced her magic and continued her training on her own. When she came out of hiding she found she had been presumed dead and the Nightlord line extinguished, and surprised the loyal family friends, fans and enemies when she showed up and began to once again slay demons, a stronger and more confident fighter.
She is self-sufficient, having had to learn how to care for herself to remain inconspicuous, and in her many years of practicing at it, she is an exceptional cook, as she started learning by making potions with her grandmother as a child.
She’s care-free and open about her sexuality, as she would rather be happy and enjoy life than conform to society’s expectations.
Her practical magic is mostly like Samantha and Endora’s in Bewitched, and combat magic is like Bayonetta’s or Yuna’s in FFX-2 when using Floral Fallal. Usually she uses it to complete household chores (cleaning, laundry) and conjures her food if she doesn’t want to cook.
She owns three main weapons: a whip and twin handguns.
Her whip has no name but is magic-infused to allow fusion with an element and become a fire, earth (like Kurama’s Rose Whip in Yu Yu Hakusho), darkness/shadow or light whip. As a light whip, it is most like the Lightwhips of Star Wars (lightsaber in whip form).
Her guns are called Scarlett and Sapphire, a pair of customized and magic-infused semi-automatic pistols, designed to rapidly fire bullets instilled with both demonic and magic power. The guns are primarily modeled after the Colt M1911 design but with pivot-style trigger, and are quite similar to Ebony & Ivory in appearance, handling and operation. Scarlett can be identified by looking for a red ruby ‘S’ on the left side of the handle, and Sapphire can be identified by a sapphire ‘S’ on the right side of the handle.
Headcanon If faced with an emergency situation in which she has to use all of her demon power, her hair will begin growing at a rapid pace, and gain silver streaks until it’s knee-length and silver-white. Her eyes will usually remain blue or mix with the red of a demonic anger to become a royal purple.
